In halo 1 the PR was great. I loved coming up behind someone, and shooting them, it would make then slow down to where they almost couldn't move, then you just finish them off with a slap to the back.

In halo 2 it was not a bad weapon, but I didn't really find it effective until it was dual wielded. At that point it was a relatively strong and effective weapon. The brute plasma rifle was good to throw in to your dual wield as well, but of course the overheating was a prob. 1 PR and 1 Brute PR was a good combo.

I think it is a must return weapon for halo 3. I don't know that they should change much. It is a good short range weapon, and effective when used correctly.
