In Response To: The Halo Campaigns. My review. (3Suns) : I never played Marathon, but I think that the way in which the story was : presented (through writtten text dispensed on futuristic computer : terminals), and the settings in which the action occured, served to tie : the story and action more closely together. I would love to hear what : those who hold Marathon dear, think of this idea. Imaginaton. I was a little more than half my current age at the time, so my imagination was very active. Having information conveyed to you through text, much of which you never actually experience in the game, made the universe feel large. It felt like there was so much going on beyond what you were doing, and since you couldn't see it directly, had to imagine it. It was so mysterious and grand. However, the downside is that there really was no interaction at all with other characters. It was a lonely existance in the Marathon universe. You had no friends. The one Human who talks to you may not have even existed. Even though the universe is so vast, ironically you are quite alone.
