In Response To: Re: Susan O'Connor - process of games writing OT (Captain Spark) : I don't want to give the impression that I'm ragging on Bungie, because I'm : not. Lately I've been wondering if the single player campaign for games ( : shooters ) is being sacrificed for the on line play of the game. I focus : more on campaign play rather the dipping myself into the on line cess pool : of X Box Live. After I finished GoW I was left with the feeling that the : campaign was pointless and it seemed like a 7 hour tutorial, training you : for the on line game. No, I certainly don't think you're 'ragging on Bungie'. Valid criticism and concern are forces for good in this world :) Live is a cool and groovy new world that I think console games are now trying to explore. And yes, I'd say it's at the expense of campaign in some games. I'd be very upset if that's what Halo 3 turned out to be. However, Halo 3 does have a few redeeming features - it's the closing game in a trilogy, which means we already know a lot. There is a possibility of two protagonists which gives us a power up in exposition and lastly Bungie like their stories.
