Gears of War has a story? I played through the game twice and I still don't know why the enemies ARE my enemies. The campaign is incredibly short, it took me slightly less then 8 hours to finish it. Sometimes I wonder why game developers even bother with a single player campaign in Live enabled games, considering how short and uninspiring the campaign is in this game. I'm a touch worried that Halo 3 will be like this.
