That's the thing I'm confused about. For all these contests, etc. It seems you NEED an Xbox LIVE GOLD account and be in possesion of an Xbox 360 when you sign up. I have no idea if they can tell the regular Xbox LIVE account for original Xbox apart from the GOLD account for 360 users, but it's really sounding like MS wants you to buy a 360 if you want a chance to enter this Beta.

Unless I'm wrong.

So maybe these 3 hours of playing Halo 2 have to be done on an Xbox 360. Until we hear otherwise, I suspect.

What I would want is to sing up for the Beta now, and buy an Xbox 360 later. But it doesn't look like you can do that.
