: I don't know if this has been covered at all before, but I recently rewatched
: Aliens (the sequal to Alien) and I noticed that the "Sarge" from
: the movie was in many ways the Sarge that we all know and love from Halo
: (although our Sarge doesn't swear as much)He even says some things similar
: to Halo "You're not getting paid by the hour" as compared to
: "The core aint paying us by the hour!" Just wondering if anyone
: had anything to say about the subject. I also noted that Sarge in Aliens
: was taken as a host for the Aliens...which was also attempted in Halo.

Slightly old (about 5 years now?), but still worth mentioning. Lots of things from Halo were 'influenced' by other sci-fi.
