Guilty : Spark is of Forerunner origin, and to make him exceptionally resistant to : damage is perfectly consistent with his role as the monitor. He may be : near-invulnerable to small arms, but he'd be gone when faced with : something as powerful as Pillar of Autumn's reactor explosion. Yeah, except that he survived it. Perhaps he left prior, but perhaps he really is indestructible. : I'm sure he would. : But what can Spark do? He's powerless. Nobody would activate the Halos unless : every other option failed, no matter what Spark's protocol demands. And : there still is a chance to destroy High Charity since IAC is on board. Well, one might postulate that GS was ill prepared for Reclaimer treachery on 04, and that resulted in his being outwitted temporarily. On Delta, we don't see him do much of anything. He's held captive by Tartarus and doesn't do so much as summon a Sentinel to help him. So Delta's systems seem to be inaccessible to him. However, the Ark may be a different situation. Perhaps there is a failsafe system built around the presence of a monitor from a disabled or destroyed installation. There, he may have access to systems of equal or greater power than he did on 04. : The latter wouldn't be too hard, Tartarus did it more than once. Tartarus was TRYING to activate the system. If he thought it was justified on 04 with the Flood loose, why wouldn't he be willing to support the same on Delta? In fact, if anything, I wonder why GS even bothers to answer Keyes' questions about how to STOP the process. I think it's just not in him to refuse to answer a question. Maybe he just likes the sound of his own voice, or maybe he's programmed to answer Reclaimer questions. : There were three levels cut out from the end of Halo, one of which was called : "Alpha Moon"-apparently, Basis, and which was the SP version of : Burial Mounds. It seems like the Arbiter (If not MC) had an extended : storyline that was cut out due to the infamous November 9 time constraint. : If they'd moved off to the Alpha Halo system for whatever reasons, Cortana : would truly be alone. (Big IF there, however) Dunno, hadn't heard that. Could be, though. Seems plausible.
