He didn't do so himself, but that may be because he thought it wasn't necessary. So far he's been immune to violence, but then again, so are other invulnerable characters, like Johnson and Keyes, so that doesn't necessarily mean anything, either. Let's face it: Gravemind only got to High Charity so he could go somewhere. If Spark knows the Flood have escaped from Delta, he's likely going to do everything he can to INSIST that the system be activated. He's not likely to take kindly to refusal this time; the stakes are higher. So either the system is going to be activated, or somebody's going to have to take GS out of the equation. Of course, maybe that never becomes an issue. But we've got Keyes, Johnson, GS, the Arbiter, Cortana and Gravemind all still in the vicinity of Delta Halo. Somehow, I'm guessing that Halo 3 doesn't ignore them and leave them there. Plus, the only characters who can authoritatively answer a question about the Ark for when the MC finally gets there are Gravemind, 343GS, and the Ark's own monitor, if it has one. Perhaps they will themselves differ on the preferred course of action. Obviously Gravemind is not going to favor activation, but perhaps the two monitors won't agree. You never know. So many possibilities.
