In Response To: My Thoughts on the Halo Series (Gravemind) Well, it seems like my letter has had a overwhelmingly positive response from the fan community, even from those who didn't necessarily agree with some or most of what I had to say (though there were a few immature flamers over at the Bungie.net forums that would rather make personal attacks, but that's the internets for ya). I honestly didn't think that many people would read it, but according to my site stats, I'm up to 290 hits, and then there's however many people have read the mirrored versions at Rampancy and here at HBO. I hope the folks at Bungie (besides Frankie; thanks again, man) thought well of my letter as well, assuming any of them got around to reading it. They are after all hard at work bringing us what I'm sure will be an astounding game. Thanks everyone for taking interest in my work. I'm glad it sparked off a rather lively debate here. Sorry I wasn't able to participate in it that much. Also, thanks to Narcogen and Louis Wu for hosting it on their respective sites to help alleviate bandwith consumption and make it more accessible. After tomorrow, I won't have access to a computer for a while, but if this discussion is still ongoing by time I return, I'll finally get around to getting more involved in it. (BTW, I post under the handle "Rtas Vadumee" at Bungie.net, if anyone here goes there as well.) Later. | |
