In Response To: Question (Endbringer) : Don't most fan fictions announce disclaimors at the beginning? Stating that : they personally don't own any of the characters, story devices, etc. and : all rights belong to the original owner. Wouldn't that remove any legal : back-lash? Its done as a matter of course, but no, it wouldn't remove any legal backlash if it was pursued by the owner. Just saying you don't own something does not mean it might not be considered potentially damaging in some way. Its two different things really.
