Those stories use intellectual property of : Microsoft in unauthorized derivative works. Don't most fan fictions announce disclaimors at the beginning? Stating that they personally don't own any of the characters, story devices, etc. and all rights belong to the original owner. Wouldn't that remove any legal back-lash?
