In Response To: Just awful, Halogen (Dracon1k) Baseless. Asinine. Unreasonable. These are the words that can best describe the actions taken against you. And the first person that says "It really wasn't their Intellectual Property to work with in the first place!" gets a fist in the FACE. This was a fan creation. It wasn't for money. It wasn't for fame. It was a labor of love. And nothing can justify the ignorance necessary to kill a labor of love. Nothing. So if you've got something to say about "it wasn't their IP to work with, period", then I suggest that you at least make the (invariably futile) attempt to support your defense of the logic and the ethics necessary for the justification of a group like this being shut down, in spite of it being a money-free project and a fan-made creation of love. While I understand the LEGAL intricacies which would spur a team of lawyers to descend with ravenous glee down upon the hapless fans of a franchise, I fail to understand (with good reason -- there is no way for it to be made understandable) the collapse of the relationship between a company (Microsoft) and its fans, where, instead of a bunch of fuzzy, cute little teddy bears waving "Go Bungie! Go Halo!" flags with their teeny, wealthless little paws, the company (Microsoft) sees them as a group of wretched mongrels, that might threaten their company in some unfathomable, never-actually-articulated way; thus causing the company's legal team to take action as they seize the teddy bears' hopes and dreams and stabs them in the eye with their own little flags. One might say that I went too far with my characterizations of the fans we so easily relate to and the characterizations of the agents of a company's wrath that we so surely dread, but the existence of that dread and the unity that we feel as fans leads me to conclude, firmly, that my characterization is FAR from inaccurate. But I digress. I salute you, Halogen. You guys roxxored. You still do. Your pain is felt by us all. Truly. May you all have enjoyed the experience up to the point where it ended, and may you understand and be certain of the distinct lack of ill intent in Bungie's heart while you scratch your heads wondering why the flags-staffs of your joyous fandom now protrude from your sockets like effigies of your reverent dreams and why your Halo-obsessed fur has been peeled away from your bodies. *spits* May the phlegm of my disgust become caught in the throat of the spineless and inexcusable person or persons behind this blind act of malevolence, so that they might choke on it and face death; that they might be made to suffer the fear of the consequences of their actions, that they should so certainly feel right now. *spits*
