Well, not strictly. Like I said, the fake medical record Halsey downloads, the Borens Syndrome one, still says that a side effect of the condition is to drastically shorten someones lifespan. Try and think of why that would be at all releveant in a coverup to Johnson. Takes me back to the 'ages phsycially slower but doesn't actually extend overall lifespan'
As for medical advancements, well the Halo universe is an odd one in that it has some very sci-fi technologies, like starships, faster than light travel etc.
I think we get a good view of medical technology in the Halo universe with the Spartans augmentation process which is considered highly experimental and dangerous with a high fatality rate. As for cloned organs/limbs, that also isn't very far off for us. I think the main thing standing in the way of that is internatinal laws about cloning. |
