In Response To: Hunters don't make much sense. (Boris) : If hunters are just colonies of worms, than why can they: 1) Grunt when they
: 2) Have individual thought (Halo: The Flood) : 3) Die and not just split of and keep going (Ogada gets his head blown off
I'm not sure how many of the people here are aware of the animated series of star trek (from the early 70's I beleive). Well one episode, written by the same guy as the trouble with tribbles (my favorite- next to the devil in the dark, where no man has gone before, and city on the edge of forever), was about a colony creature (I think the name of the creature, and the episode, was Bem). Basically, each part was seperate, but they worked together to form a creature, in true star trek fashion, just like a human. Hunters might very well work the same- each creature is an individual, but one holds them all together and makes them cooperate as one. |
