It's a matter of degree, though. The "quiet period" after Halo 2 is now nearly twice as long as the one after Halo 1. Also there's the issue of expectations. I think if Bungie had done another game after Halo 1 and left doing Halo 2 until later, it'd have seemed fairly reasonable. Halo 1 reached a logical conclusion as a story. That story left open the possibility of sequels. But Halo 2's ending practically screams for one. : If you don't like the Weekly Update, here's a suggestion: Don't read it. The
Don't lump them all together, Shishka. Some of us are legitimately interested in the next game, but also plenty interested in what goes on at Bungie on a day-to-day basis. We're still plenty happy to read tidbits in weekly updates, but we're also impatient to at least hear two words about what is coming next :)
