however they could be used from a distance, people around HBO seem to be under the impression that no matter what distance UNSC veseels well be knocked out by the EMP from a nuke, which i believe is a quite stupid assuamption, loftus and me had a conversation about it and in the end the viable option was hte fact that UNSC ships only burn themselves out from the EMP when a nuke is used at close range, somehwat like you've suggested why they didnt in this case pep dude. Also the not quite ready yet scenario that i pointed out for the stations that zak origonally concluded with also justifies the complete lack of point defense on human stations.
