What if Truth is going to earth to kill the embryos, to make sure humans won't be left behind to start up again? What if to them, the Great Journey is simply a cleansing from humans? If that were the case they would want to go make sure that no other humans can be reborn afterwards. Perhaps that is why Regret went there, to kill the embryos off before the great journey. We have no real way of knowing for sure that Tartarus' Halo activation was not taking place long after the final cutscene of the Chief saying the worst line in cliffhanger history. Why bother fly through space to Earth, the home planet of the worst species in the galaxy, just to die? Thats like jumping in the sewer with the rats right before the city is blown up. If it is to kill some living humans, thats like setting up rat poison just before the house explodes, it just doesn't make sense. Truth, unless he lies about the Great Journey to his followers, wants to die, so we can rule out going to the ark to save himself. All he could really be doing is setting up for the next generation. Or maybe he just wants to appologize for killing everyone. | |
