Probably not! : http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=61132 First of all, if it was, people would have been all over it, since that article is, at this writing, six months old. Not to mention the fact that Bach's quote that "Halo is something we'll ship when it's ready" is something one can hardly imagine one could say with a straight face. Halo 1 shipped as a launch title. In retrospect one can hardly imagine Bungie being allowed to do otherwise. This despite the fact that Halo had to be retooled as an Xbox title post-buyout. Halo 2 shipped three years, almost to the day, after Halo 1. Yet watch the DVD that comes with the Limited Edition of the game, and you'll clearly see Bungie employees wishing they had more time to work on the game. If Halo games only ship "when they're ready" why did people want more time? Why would anyone believe that Halo 3 will ship "when ready" if Halo 1 HAD to ship as a launch title, and Halo 2 was shipped exactly three years later, in time for Christmas shopping? | |
