In Response To: It Makes Sense (Grey Fox) Well, there is a gap of 35 years between the time Halsey and Keyes met, and the events of Halo, so I SUPPOSE it's possible. But I my view, it just seems more likely that Keyes was married. He was a teacher at the Naval Academy at Reach for several years. It's possible he married in that time and had a daughter and/or more children. But if what I've written above is true, why didn't his wife/sons/etc. accept the medal? Simple. They were killed when Reach was glassed, or were too far from Earth to get back in time for the ceremony. Good theory, though. The best argument I've seen so far.
