: Enjoy the new maps, we'll see you all online over the next few days. Thanks Sketch! As I've said, the information I had on bannage came from EB of Australia, who apparently got wind of it from Microsoft themselves. Looks like I'll be able to put the MMP on display when I get in to work today! I really did enjoy Gemini, and I'll enjoy playing Matchmade Games on it for sure - I read about it being a Marathon map in the manual, and thought that was pretty gosh darned cool to begin with. It'll probably never be the home to your epic CTF/Assault games, but I can guarantee I'll be looking for it in Rumble Pit. In regard to people who've asked me whether they should get the content online or buy the CD - well, it depends. As I've said, 'A Day at the Beach' is short but extremely sweet, and the documentaries (which I haven't mentioned that much) are good primers for the maps. I'd usually go for heading down to my local game store and picking one up - not only is it a great way of supporting everyone's favourite developer (Bungie, you morons, not EA) but it's also handy if some of your friends don't have Live. Your next Lan can truely be Maptacular! The other thing that pushes me towards physical purchase is the fact that the credit card supporting my Live account doesn't belong to me, and parents have this nasty habit of getting annoyed when unexplained expenses show up on their statements. Thanks again for the Heads-Up, Sketch. Time to find some suckers on Live to throw in front of a train... |
