no, he didn;t say that. he said the ring was vitial to their surviel as a race, your thinking the reverse. and also, exactly who he is refering to, although it would seem the flood, is not exactly known. the simple answer to why the flood don't die, because they are different and special, just like how only a cockroach can survive nuclear winter. why the roach and not us. simply the flood where a completely different form of life and to much about them was a mystery to them. to any of you who have seen a zombie film. the zombie virus just comes out of nowhere and spreads so fast that we don;t have any time to learn about it.
