In Response To: Why research the Flood on Threshold? - here's why: (Ciarán) : One good reason to place a Flood research station in the atmosphere of a gas : giant is that a gas giant typically has a very steep gravity well. The : escape velocity required to get out into orbit is much higher on Jupiter : than it is on on Earth for example. By placing the research station on : Threshold it makes it harder for the Flood to escape - assuming that they : can't get hold of something like a Phantom of course :) Well their's that and their is that cable you can cut to send the instalation to its destruction in the depths of Threshold should the Flood break out of containment.
