(SoundEffect)) maybe hunters themselves are parasites, worms who get in the armor of another species in their homeword, and they eat there host while they grow. the first worm, initially maybe not larger than a normal worm here on earth, hides itself in the food of the host, and when the host eats them toghether with its food, the hunterworm eats its way from the stomac to the nerval system, and starts to grow and create little worms, who maybe never totaly seperate from the main worm, so there is still just one nerve system the host first gets under influence of the hunterworm, more or less like the flood. when the main worm changed the whole nerve system of the host with his little worms, maybe the hunter is done. on the other hand, the hunter worm can then start to create muscle worms and eat whole the host, and not only its nerve system. when the hunter is finally done, it starts to create some 'sexual' worms who can make contact with other hunters, and mix their DNA or the alien equivalent of DNA to create new little parasite forms. like this the hunter parasite is maybe a lesser agressive form of the flood, who take all sentient life, while hunterworms take only one kind of host, maybe even not sentient. i exuse me for language mistakes, cuz i m duch (flemisch, belgium, europe) and my englisch isn't what it have to be
