In Response To: MPPRS - Am I just in a bad mood? (Miguel Chavez) Well now, this was a very interesting read. As one of the reviewers, I feel it's my duty to defend my stance. I did not pass this video on the first shot through due to several things, including video quality. On the second time through, I raised the score on video quality, but, assuming I remembered correctly, I kept the other scores the same, which would NOT have passed it even the second time. Those of you who have submitted my movies know that I'm kind of an asshole when it comes to videos. I do a minor bit of video editing on the side, so I tend to focus on the video side a lot more than most of the people. Plus, I've been watching Halo videos off HBO since around May of 2002, so I know what is good and what isn't. In my opinion, while funny, it's not very video worthy. Obviously I was outvoiced. I did like that Merecatfish took almost all of the suggestions, including making the video a higher quality. As for possibly being influenced by anyone when I review a video, I don't even look at who submitted it until after I've watched it and formed my opinions. I also watch the videos through twice, beginning to end. Granted, I don't get to every single video, I don't always have the time. The ones I do get to, however, usually have the best reviews of the bunch, as I have no problems telling you what worked or what needed to be fixed. [/rant] In all seriousness, this is needed, and it's doing its job in weeding out videos that shouldn't have even been conceived much less made. It's also done a good job of showing people what they need to fix in their videos. This is a growing process, and there will be bugs to work out. You have to be patient and submit your thoughts and suggestions in a reasonable manner and not go off half-cocked on something or accuse someone or a group of someones of a conspiracy. I personally recommend every single person that ever looks at gaming videos to go to the link below my post and download that video. It is NOT Halo, it's Quake3. However, it is one of the top 3 gaming videos I have ever seen in my 15 years of gaming and gaming videos. If anyone wants/needs help making your video better in terms of video and audio quality, by all means get in touch with me. I'd rather review a good video than have to sit through some crap that should have never seen the light of an editing program. the DJ p.s. I'm not trying to bash anyone or even piss someone off.
