Yes but the thing is - everyone has their opinion. Not all Hollywood films get into the cinema - some go straight to video, or never get completed. The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter...all got into the cinemas, but many people think some or all of them are rubbish (for the record, I think LOTR and SW and great...HP less so). Just because a few movies come out that aren't to your taste, doesn't mean the MPRRS is going downhill. Sometimes all the movies in the cinema look boring. That doesn't mean the cinema industry is about to crash. As has been said, the MPRRS is still evolving and growing. It's far too early to start crying it's doom in the streets. In the history of HBO, the MPRRS is very young, and over time we'll see how effective it is - Mr Wu certainly seems pleased so far. Elements of 'that' recently released film may have seemed...immature. But not every film in the cinema is a thought-provoking, deep epic. Somethings are just good for a laugh. And some people like that kind of thing. So keep telling us what can make the MPRRS better. Leave feedback on what you think on what's getting through the system. Its these things that help make it better, so don't stop. But there is NO conspiracy and no need to get worked up over it. And remember...only 26.1% of movies actually get through, with an average score of 62%. I would say it's working, though again - the MPRRS is trying to get better, and the community needs to show what that means. | |
