Okay, I think this is a bit of an overreaction to Mere's movie. It wasn't bad, but seriously, rigging the votes just to let it pass? Any other conspiracy theories out there? :) Now I'll admit, if Mere and friends entered the training games with the sole purpose of pissing off other people, that wouldn't be very cool. However, to me it sounded like something I and my friends will do sometimes. Get a party too big for one team, or take 7 people into rumble training, and just have some fun. Once we brought 7 pink elites into a rumble training game, and then we spent the whole time trying to do the wave. The 8th guy even went a joined in with us. Other times we just acted silly and tried to tell people we didn't know each other even though we clearly did. Usually the other guys end up winning any way since we're not doing anything. If Bungie seriously had worries about "the game being ruined" by "assholes" in training games, they would not have allowed parties larger than 4. It gets to be a problem when you've got competitive people in matchmaking who are joined with someone who is purposefully trying to lose, but that isn't the case here. Honestly Mere, don't feel too bad about the movie. It was a look at another side of Halo on Live, one where ranks don't matter and it doesn't hurt to mess around a little. I've released a couple such movies to my clan, including the "pink elite wave" I mentioned earlier and some games we played with a drunk guy. None of our enemies seemed to mind, and a lot got talkative and played around as well. Good times. | |
