When comparing just the two games, Halo 1 did a lot better. : But Halo 2 is still far and above any competitor. In single player, yes. And the increase in invisible walls in halo 2 has certainly bothered me. But the multiplayer levels are perfectly done in halo 2. For example, in zanzibar, if you take the ghost on the wall side immideatly, you can usually get past the rocket launcher and into the base. And if you get the sniper, you only have a little time before someone racing straight for the sword could appear. This sort of perfection is everywhere (in multiplayer at least.) It wasn't this good in Halo: combat evolved.
