I really don't see how it was necessary though, I loved my trusty battle rifle just fine as it was. Making it extremely accurate just kind of seems like overkill. Not to mention it seems to detract from the realism of the weapon. I mean, a weapon such as the Battle Rifle seems to be the type of firearm that is only intended to be reasonably accurate at slightly longer range than something such as...say...an SMG. It sort of ruins the image I have when they make it the size and power of a typical combat rifle and give it an accuracy equal to(if not greater than) a sniper rifle. *sigh*Oh well, it still won't stop me from using it though... Heh, thinking of the less accurate BR for some reason reminds me of the old AR. I know it was inaccurate as h*ll but I still miss it. (I kind of wish Bungie could have put it in Halo 2 as an unlockable or something, you know, just for kicks.0
