Before the update, I ran tests on the BR in comparison to the H1 Pistol in terms of accuracy. One test was from the rocket launcher hill in Coagulation to the top of the closest base (near the teleporter). In H1, for a stationary target, you could get a 4-5 shot kill (maybe 3 if you were lucky), but before the update, you would go through two BR clips before taking down someone. Now, you can do it in about 5-6 BR 3-shots. My brother and I just ran through a bunch of scenarios (shooting across Midship, Foundation, Ascension, etc.) and in each case, the change was completely noticeable (e.g. getting a 4-shot across Midship or Foundation which was impossible before, is now possible). It only seems to be much more accurate when zoomed in (unlike the H1 pistol), but I think that makes sense. So I am true believer in this and it definitely helps balance the game considerably for those annoying maps where the sniper control was the only relevant strategy. Kudos to Bungie for fixing this. This is a really really big improvement in my opinion. I am a little surprised that they did not mention this before.
