: Am I correct so far or have I missed the point? Where have I gone wrong? A little. Viri are by no means limited to unicelluar organisms. These viri infected multicellular, eukaryotic early humans (Homo Erectus species, to be exact) as we knew them - in particular, they worked their way into our neural cells. This virus affected the personality (Again, read footnotes.) of the earliest humans, those few who would be the forefathers of billions upon billions of us- entire cultures and nations. The virus did not direct our growth biologically in any way, it merely gave us the intuition to progress technologically by inserting innovations here and there up to the point where it was no longer necessary (i.e., circa Shaw-Fujikawa Drive invention... and by circa I mean within centuries of). Each generation of humans would be posssessed of this abstract knowledge, spaced so that it did not happen extremely quickly. Each innovation built off the other, and not all made themselves apparent immediately- anything biological is prone to error. But they were all stimuli to activate the next... tier, if you will, of innovation. Now, by all means, humanity was still entirely capable of innovation on it's own- I don't think the Forerunner ever intended for us to apply nuclear technology against ourselves, or for the Playstation 2 to be developed (if any PS2 fanboys read this... just kidding around.. heheh... eh... *scans for exits*). |
