A way to eliminate recoil
Posted By: foofooheadDate: 2/15/01 8:35 p.m.

In Response To: Halo weapons should not support recoil (Nights)

Every action must have an opposite and equal reaction. Therefore, if you want to totally eliminate the recoil from firing a bullet you must provide the exact same force in the opposite direction.

The obvious solution is to have the rifle fire a bullet out the back, and a bullet out the front at the exact same time. The two forces would cancel each other out.

You might want to be careful how you hold the gun when you fire it though. ;)
