I remember reading in some magazine that cortana downloaded itself (herself?) into you...
It then went on to say that if the player was being targeted by a sniper Cortana would report "We are currently being targeted."
I just remember reading that this summer while I browsed every available gaming magazine looking for info. It was almost pre-takeover so it might have changed (or never have been) but it sure sounds like it would make for some cool gameplay.
