On a related note. There's been prior mention by Bungie of trying to
reflect that things are going on on the Halo beyond just where you are.
For instance, you blow up a base. At a later point you might either find
them trying to rebuild or the remnants overgrown.

How do you flow the world to determine overall difficulty? For instance
the game should respond to a really great player by upping the
difficulty in some way. Or by relaxing things for a weaker player?

Or what about the interconnectedness of events. To reflect that at 16:00
hours there would be an air raid here. However the raid takes off from
base X which you devestated 2 days ago. Might there need to be a bit
more of an automated world simulation at times to manage these larger
events instead of just scripting something here and there?
