Bungie didn't exactly make it clear how limited halo's world would be. When you here phrases like "No Levels", it can be taken two ways.
First it could mean that you were in a single "super level" that was somewhat smaller than the entire halo ring construct.
Or you could float with your head in the clouds and think that Bungie would create the ring in its entirity, as well as a nearby moon (yes this was brought up).
I think halo's "levels" will be large, but not insanely big. They have to be quite large, if what we have seen in the movies is any indication, but they porbably aren't going to be ten thousands of square miles.
