This isn't Matt, but I just have a question for you all. What's this source you guys are reading that's making y'all think that the Halo environment's this wide-ranging, roam as-you-please space? Since when are games made that way? What's making you worry about whether you'll ever be restricted in where you go? Do you expect the map to be covered with nice rolling hills for you jeep to climb over? Or is there gonna be a jet at your disposal at the snap of your fingers? Duh, this is a game, and if the creators are gonna exercise any control over what your experience is like, you're gonna be tracked quite a bit, ok? Trust me. Yeah, so I don't think you can hop on a plane right off the bat, and go find the final boss and kick his butt, and I don't think there's gonna be stretches of fractal-rendered terrain for no purpose at all except to make your game-playing experience feel like a drive on the I95.
