In Response To: Re: I thought the Ark was earth.... (gspawn) : The Ark is a device that can activate the Halos when they go into standby
Don't all these words show up in the same place in the Bible? When Noah built the *ark* because (God told him to and) a *flood* was going to wipe out the entire (unholy) human existane on Earth, and it was going to rain for 40 days/nights. Then when it was over and Noah and his family (or so) were the only survivors, God made a *covenant* with us to never try to kill us en masse again. So in Bungie terms... Some of the forerunners built the *ark* and the Halos because they thought that the *flood* were going to wipe them all out. The ark was a planet free of the flood (so far) so they used that to trigger the Halos and wipe out all the unholy flood beings while the ark was somehow shielded. But then, if we are the forunners, why don't we remember? Here's my story again. The forerunners (humans) had somehow encountered the flood infection forms and were being overtaken by them with ferocious speed. They, seeking a way to continue their race, chose their most fertile and uninfected planet to use as shelter while they blew up everything around them on a galactic scale. When the Halos fired, it killed everything with sufficiant mass. Including them. All of the flood hosts were gone, but our young ones, without the sufficiant mass, survived. And because we were too young, we had no previous knowledge of our technology. I still have no idea about some things. Like why the Halos contained flood. Oh, duh because we used to study them to figure out how to kill them, and we needed a safe place to observe. Please post questions you might have. |
