Interesting theories. I'd never thought of the idea of spores forming Ranger forms, but it seems to make sense. Though if you look in the final cutscene, the spores are even larger than your diagram shows. Also, you bring up a good point about Flood growths, though I've always believed that they were areas where Flood spores found organic matter that contained DNA but wasn't a full organism (blood, plant matter, etc.), though I may be off on that. But, nice attempt, though "hyperchondria" seems a bit of a reach. Anyway... nice job. And you scared the hell out of me when I read my name at 5 AM with no sleep. heh.
