In Response To: Re: Earth had 300 MAC stations in clusters of 3 (dude1) : um, i dunno...first of all, we're talking (super MAC or no) of a *shipboard* : weapon as having the same power as a *dedicated platform*. that's like : comparing silo-launched missiles with shipboard ordinance. second, earth : is pretty important - whether or not it's practically important, it has a : powerful meaning for humanity. it's our home planet - NO ENEMY ever set : foot on earth, until regret. hell, the reason reach was important was that : it protected earth. i think the 300 MAC station isn't an indication that : they're weaker, it's an indication that the safeguards for earth are : greater than those around reach. : --dude1 Reach was more important than earth, Reach was the militray planet of the human army. it produced the most ships and trained the most solders, and it was the main headquaters of the Oni government. Reach was like the washington DC of the humans. Earth may be our homeplanet but that really doesn't mean it was important. Earth is more like the thirteen orignal colonies, they were first but they aren't the most important. Reach had 150 ships. i say earth had less, you know why, if earth had more than 150 ships then how the hell did regret's fleet of 15 manage to destory several of our ships, (look out side the window, there are explisions every where.)
