I don't *think* they are, but I gotta confess that I haven't been watching their site lately and may have missed a mention of that. However, even if they are using XBL for their network I don't think they'd stick with the matchmaking playlists which are designed more for random games between players matched (roughly) for skill level by their various ranks. Always remember the option to run non-ranked games, and the freedom that gives as you no longer have to worry about comparing skill ranks. If you did want to run a competitve series over XBL, I'd imagine it'd be through invitations to the players to join a private party to avoid the risk of having someone parachuting in and gumming up the event. -- Steve's had that happen sometimes in his non-ranked games... and it's frustrating to all parties involved.
