To me I like more of the symmetrical maps like say midship, : waterworks, beaver creek, coag,and colosous (sp?) I can see how leagues might prefer symmetrical maps for some events. Remember, there are some more maps on the way; if some are modeled after H1 maps, you should see some more symmetical ones coming up. : I just hate being on big maps with the smg which only does good at close and : close-mid-range. Maybe a pistol and smg but on bigger maps smg just makes : it a run to a better weapon in my opinion. You can set custom gametypes to start with the battle rifle or Covenant carbine as the primary weapon; for league play, it should be trivially easy to reset starting weapons to whatever you wish on any map and gametype. (Heck, there's a custom gametype out there that has everybody carrying around Brute Shots!) So this should be easily fixable. I'm thinking that a lot of the pro complaints can be fixed by going into the Preferences menu and poking around at the options there; not all of them, of course, but enough to make Halo 2 viable as a league game. -- Steve's looking forward to seeing CAL and MLG use Halo 2. That should show us some new and interesting ways to set up custom games.
