In Response To: My Thursday morning BBQ (just add flames) *long (Ducain) As well as most of the fans complaining about Halo 2. Why? When did a game with great graphics, great sound, great voice acting, an involving storyline and great gameplay become so common that you can diss it so easily? Ok, you personally might not like it as much as Halo 1, but it's still a great game in EVERY ASPECT. I know you did state that, but you still spent several paragraphas stating your frustration and anger at a game that was not exactly like you EXPECTED IT to be. Sorry guys, but I've never played a FPS where I'm riding on the back of a Jeep which my allied A.I. is driving, till an enemy plasma grenade flips it over and we are flung off onto the beach. Now I have two enemy ghosts and a sniper trying to eliminate me I run from the flipped Jeep only to see two Elite footsoldiers flip the Warthog over. One mans the wheel, the other the gun and start chasing me. One of the ghosts tries to run me over, but a well timed jump gets me on his back and I kick him out of his vehicle, and spin it around to receive the Warthog that's on my tail. A well placed barrage of plasma fire from my ghost kills the Elite manning the turret of the Warthog, and the driver of it flees towards cover, trying to get another Elite to man the turret. I follow him and fire at him till the Jeep explodes, tires and scrap metal flying everywhere. At that moment, an Elite leaps off a nearby tower and jacks my ghost. I immediately run into the tower and climb the ladder to it's roof to try and hide from the Ghost in pursuit. I start flinging grenades at it from the roof and manage to flip it over, sending the pilot flying. He immediately runs back to his Ghost and I try shooting him with my Battle rifle before he manages to do so. I'm about to kill him when BAM, I'm dead. Shit, I had forgotten about that enemy sniper. You are evidently able to diss a game like this. Sorry, but I find it entretaining. So, while you are being snobby and jaded because it was not what you thought it would be, I'll go back to enjoying myself. P.S.: And yes, people did line up in the cold dark night to buy the game. However, neither Bungie nor Microsoft put a pistol to people's heads in order to do so. The community was in such eager anticipation that they were willing to line up in the cold. I'm a big fan, I've waited for years for the game, but I waited for my copy, it came through the mail. For a few days (during which my friends were already playing) I bit my nails and waited. My point here? You can't blame bungie because you didn't like the game because you stood out in the cold. If you decided to wait in the snow while an earthquake struck just to buy Halo 2 and you didn't like it, well BOO HOO!!! Don't use your misery as leverage please.
