In Response To: We've never seen any Flood Engineers. (Owm) : Carriers have legs, Engineers don't. They float. Lemme try and sum up all the : species (in no particular order): Humans: When infected, turns to Combat : form. If too damaged at time of infection, or damaged later, transforms : into a Carrier, an incubator for new Infection forms. : Elites: When infected, turns to Combat form. If too damaged at time of : infection, or damaged later, transforms into Carrier. : Brutes: Unknown. Not yet seen infected. Yeh I know. That sucked : Jackals: Weak. Probably transforms directly into Carrier. Even if the bones : are light, and pocketed, they're still bones, and therefore they can be : used by the Flood. : Grunts: Weak. Probably transforms directly into Carrier. : Drones: If comparable to Earths insects, lacks bones. No calcium, no : infection. I think there could be Drone infection since there is bone. Although it is in the form of an exo-skeleton, it is bone, and could probably still be manipulated. Probably would go strait to a Carrier form though (wouldn't it be cool to have flying Flood? *day-dreams*) : Engineers: Unknown. Not yet seen infected. Floats using sack of gas on back. : Must be light, maybe boneless. Calciumless. I would like to add that even if an Engineer did have bones that could be manipulated, it would probably go strait to Carrier, and not become its own form. Especially not one as ferocious as the ones in BOLL's video : Prophets: Unclear. Very weak. Probably gets added directly to a Gravemind. Probably has bones so it can hold that big head up (lol). However even it it could be infected the knowledge it would posses would be extremely valuable and would, as said above, most likely go strait to Gravemind : Hunters: Lacks spine, central nervous system, bones... From a logical it makes sense that there wouldn't be any Flood-Hunters since they dont have the right body type, but from a game point of view, videogames are suppose to be fun, and what could be more fun/challenging than a Flood Hunter? Wouldn't be surprised to see it in H3, even if it doesn't make logical sense.
