In Response To: Thursday night BBQ*SP* (FrogBlast) :I get the feeling sometimes that people are just pissed that we didn't blow :up something that was really big. Haha...ya... i guess people just wanted closure...but if we had closure how could we have a halo 3... but i find it hard to beleive that the story, which seems like it only has one level more to end the ENTIRE story, can be stretched out into a full game for Halo3....plus all the environments have been exausted for this....all thats left to keep the universe out of peril lies on the Ark...which (with THAT ending) HAS to be earth. In terms of a game it was AWESOME.... and I AM talking about the campaign/story. Unlike Ducain there, i can whole-heartedly say that i'll be playing that campaign over and over (or at least certain levels). I'll especially go through it in co-op a couple of times with a friend or two. The story just clicked for me... steping outside of thse station into space (with that cool sound change :P), playing as the Arbiter (which was the by far THE coolest shock ever), killing that prophet (I literally had to put down my controller and go...holy shit i just punched his lights out...that was fuckin amazing) and many more moments involving getting a group of buddies in hogs/ghosts/specteres/wraiths and lettin the bad guys have it just made me smile. Of course playing as the arbiter for the last level seems kind of wierd, and killing tartarus was a little too easy (come on...two swipes of a sword and he was down(normal)). But one qualm i have (which seems to be odd, because others feel COMPLETLY opposite) is that Legendary isn't as hard as i found Halo 1. I mean the FIRST time i picked up legendary in Halo 1, it blew my mind how much of a step up it was, like a single elite could give me trouble. Now, i find i can dessimate groups of elites with a simple plasma pistol smg (or magnum) combo. I havent gotten as far as to meeting brutes in legendary (which i bet will make me fustrated beyond beleif), but it didnt seem that much of a change. This may be due to the fact that i played it through on normal, then, with a group of friends, made a clan and got ourselves up to level 9 and THEN went to legendary. I found that many of the techniques that i picked up online are too much for Legendary AI to handle. Course, this opinon may change as soon as i find myself faced with a set of brutes.
