Well, Finn, your challenge has certainly got me thinking. When I first played Halo, my only FPS experiences were with the single-analogue N64 controller. I became quite the Goldeneye fan (and I wasn't half bad), and played a few other FPS's. But the dual analogue system of the Xbox controller took some real getting used too. Nevertheless, I was hooked from the get go. My skills and strategies improved, and about a year and a half later, though I am no master, I have earned my way to all three emblems for every level. No mean feat.

Honestly, I don't think I'm up to Legendary Halo 2 right off the bat, even if I co-op with my younger brother. You taunt in another thread on the subject: "You've all finished the first game on Legendary, haven't you? Surely your ability to do that is based on some skill and not a mere knowledge of enemy placement?" I have come quite a long way since I first played this game, but I have to acknowledge, as I'm sure most of us must, that intimate knowledge of the game is a good portion of what allowed me to beat Legendary. My tactics and skills are more than enough for Heroic. I can't say the same about Legendary.

I had originally intended to beat the whole game on Normal first. Halo 2 is sure to be harder than Halo on any given difficulty. With all the changes and improvements made, I'm not sure how much of an edge, if any, I will have on Normal.

But you have stirred my sense of adventure and pride in my hard-earned skills. So with the help of my brother, I will beat every level of Halo 2 on Heroic only. Not quite what you plan to do, but I'm sure it will require all my skill and more to accomplish. I look forward to the challenge! And the triumph ,' )
