In Response To: HALO vs Halo (PsycoJoe) : OK...At the end of the game, as MC removes his helmet, we see a galaxy in the : background (presumably ours). This same image can be seen in the MP level : 'Derelict'. Now here's where things go funky...I've heard the region at : the galactic rim refered to as the 'galactic halo'. Couldn't 'HALO' refer : to the ring, and 'Halo' refer to the galactic halo? Here are a few map descriptions, found on b.net’s map page, that don't line up with this explanation. Damnation - A covenant structure that was used to control water flow into a section of HALO. Rat Race - An asymmetrical map which involves some human mining into one of Halo's hallway system. Hang 'em High - A large storage facility on the Halo which provides an excellent location for all sorts of scenarios. In all these examples one can see that the word halo is being used in reference to an installation... most likely the huge Forerunner "space rings." -Metatron
