The story and details of Halo weren't rushed. The rush, as far as I'm aware, was to get the game done for the Xbox launce. Halo had been in the works for some time before then. Proof of this can be shown by Halo's Mac World 99 apperance, which was some 3 years before it's release on Xbox:) -Metatron
