In Response To: The Theory that Starts a NEW Discussion (Summary a (Metatron) : Halo is destroyed on September 22, 2552; however, because of the time warping
I dont think that the artifact creating a time loop is possible, because it would repeat itself infinitely. I think this is what happened: the artifact created what I call a "Time Acceleration Bubble" around the PoA when it left reach and entered slipspace. Inside this bubble, time goes faster. Inside the bubble, three weeks passed. But outside it, only 5 days passed. From the beginning of FS until the rescue, the date stated at the beggining of every chapter is September 22-23. After the rescue, the date is September 12. Look at the beginning of the chapter where you got the dates from. Right after the rescue, it says REVISED DATE:September 12, 2552 or something like that. Before that, the date is "Estimated" to be September 22. Thats because time was being accelerated for the PoA, including Cortana who was keeping the time. There was no way to tell from inside the bubble that time was being sped up. After the rescue, the date was Revised to the Correct date that Dr. Halsey and her team had, which was September 12. BTW, If it took 13 hours for the Ascendant Justice to get From Halo to Reach, and the revised date after the rescue was September 12, then doesn't that mean that Halo was Destroyed on September 11, 2552 "Dr Halsey Time"? Maybe that has some significance. I think this means the Flood will return in Halo 2. Maybe Halo Really was the only way to completely Erase the Flood Threat and Master Cheif Destroyed it after he released the Flood by disabling Halo's Security in Silent Cartogapher. -p
