It's : where the forerunners/humans went when they fired the Halo remotely (via : Reclaimer/343 GS) 100,000 years ago. THAT is why the Covenant want to find : the location of Earth (though it is possible that only the Prophets really : know this). THAT is what they are seeking. : [/speculation] : -Sep7imus is just speculating. That's a cool thought, because the Covenant only really control the Orion arm of the galaxy (that information from some source/interview the name of which elludes me). That leaves much of the rest of the galaxy for who knows what other space-faring races. Maybe another race might set off another Halo somewhere else that will wipe out the Covenant, or maybe the Covenant want to set off all the Halos to get rid of all the other space faring races that are their enemies (like the great Flood, only cleansing the galaxy of the infidels). And what is this Great Journey they speak of?
