Ok, So maybe this isn't the most well thought out theory, but it's sorta forming itself as I type it. When you mentioned the notion of fallen angel's mating with Humans something clicked. Also if fallen angels were also demons this would tie in with the Covanent hating humans as the descendants of Fallen Angels. The main thing that clicked was an AI being named after a Fallen Angel(Demon) who mated with Humans very often. What if the Forerunner were a blend of Technolgy and Biology, Cyborgs if you would. The fact that Guilty spark believed he was a Forerunner, or at least someone he had met before, when he was all decked out in Mjolnor makes me think more so that the Forerunner had a mechanical like quality to them.

Maybe somewhere along the way, such as if the rings have been fired before A group of Forerunner were marooned or something on a planet and managed to survive some how by reverting to a more biological form, shedding their extreme advancements they had in hopes of being able to sustian (sp?) themselves without any mechanical things they may have needed to survive, sorta like us beign stranded on a planet with a limited supply of Oxygen. It's possible with their advanced technology they may not have adapted but used genetics to assure that the next generation would be able to live on this new planet. Voila, Humans and the "Lost" History.

I'm not sure where all this speculation is goign except to the overwhelming amount of information that the Forerunners may have been some mixture of Technology and Mechanical devices with human flesh or some other form of biological and organic beings. Well, I'd like to hear any thing that proves this different or is more evidence for it
