Here's a hint: no 2 PCs are exactly alike, even those that are mass-produced. There are ALWAYS subtle (or greater) differences where electronics are concerned. Don't take my word for it just because I have a degree in electronic design and once worked on defense avionics-- do a little research on the subject. I'm 42 and have over TWENTY YEARS computing and electronics experience-- and I can tell you that the problems introduced by the patch go beyond the tweaking and fiddling you assume will correct things. My particular issue apparently has to do with the disk validation code combined with variables introduced during disk duplication, and there's not one damn thing you or I can do about that. Bungie and/or Microsoft will have to address this. And the reason you may not be experiencing this is, once again, due to the myriad variables involved. I don't expect every 16-year-old to have the maturity necessary to grasp all of this, but then, I've met some who have. You have to start SOMEwhere. : ok...ya know what...i have an AMD Athlon-XP 1800+ Pro, Nvidia GeForce FX 5200
